Great Acoustic Coffeehouse/Concert Series
Every Month in Santa Barbara
Since March 22, 2003, every 4th Saturday of the month, a fine venue for great acoustic music is happening in Santa Barbara.
Located in the acoustically fabulous Guild Hall of Trinity Episcopal Church at 1500 State Street, the coffeehouse is called "Trinity Backstage". It is booked by two veteran singer/songwriters- Kate Wallace and Doug Clegg- who havespent the last twenty years writing, recording and playing in Nashville and Boston, respectively, and who now make their home in Santa Barbara. Years of experience at festivals, studios and clubs around the country means they can book the very best there is in the world of acoustic singer/songwriters.

The idea behind this series is to expose local audiences to great singer/songwriters from all over the country who they might otherwise not get to hear, says Wallace. Most likely, they are on independent labels and not played by the commercial radio network.There are house concerts and coffeehouses all over America, where Doug and I have played along with the artists we book, that are incredibly well received and thriving. we're happy to help make that happen here in Santa Barbara and make it available to everyone. There really is only Song Tree Concert Series and Trinity Backstage that are strictly devoted to an on-going intimate evening with a nationally known writer/performer in a listening/ non-alcoholic environment.
The evenings will begin at 8:00, there will be two sets with a brief intermission-donation is $10.00, coffees, desserts and CDs will be available as well as a chance to chat with the performers. The evenings generally end around 10:00.
